Procedural growth studies exploring volume, motion, and emergence

A series of personal experiments exploring growth, motion, and emergent form in Houdini.

These studies start from simple primitive shapes and evolve through iterative volume-based transformations. Rather than designing a final form up front, I was interested in setting up a system and letting small changes—order of operations, parameter shifts, or noise influences—push the results in unexpected directions. Some variations focus on surface behavior and structure, while others allow attributes like color to move and deform along with the geometry itself.

What I love about this kind of work is how quickly it moves from something rigid and predictable into something organic and surprising. A single tweak can completely change the outcome, and watching the form develop frame by frame often feels as rewarding as the final stills themselves.
